Highest 2 Lowest starring Denzel and ASAP Rocky is another Spike Lee Joint. Denzel Washington and Spike connected again for the movie Hightes 2 Lowest. Upcoming rapper/actor Asap Rocky also appeared in the movie to bring his flavor to it. The movie seemed to get hardly any reviews online and people aren’t talking much about it, in my opinion.

In this podcast, Cool Water goes in to why the movie just didn’t connect with the larger audience. Spike Lee has a long history of making movies that miss the mark and this movie seems to be another. The movie’s seem to be written very well, but the blending of old  and new nostalgia with hip hop’s current state of affairs missed the mark. Denzel did a great job of delivering his usual acting ability.

Spike Lees Highest to 2 Lowest had the potential of a blockbuster hit. ASAP Rocky did an excellent job of delivering his character to the public. Cool Water takes a wide view of the movie to make his analysis. Spike Lees Highest 2 Lowest needs a young producer like Ryan Coogler to bring out its full potential.
