Migos just broke through to pop culture mainstream with their first number one album. Migos have been putting out hits for quite some time, but the “Culture” album has broke the bank with its release as of a few short weeks ago.
The No. 1 hit song “Bad And Boujee,” and celebrity shouts Outs has brought a new audience to the teams listening fan base.
Billboard writes:
Culture’s debut was driven by streams of its songs, as streaming equivalent album units accounted for 59 percent of the set’s first-week total (77,000 of 131,000). The album sold 44,000 in traditional album sales and earned 10,000 in track equivalent album units.
The ranking marks a vast imimprovementrom their debut album, 2015’s Yung Rich Nation, which peaked at No. 17.
This groups is steadily becoming a mainstream group. Album sales along with streaming will push Migos into pop culture soon enough.
